Expressions is the Tracy Art League's annual juried art show.

EXPRESSIONS is a project of the Tracy Art League, Tracy's oldest visual arts organization. The League's mission is to encourage education
in the arts, the development of artists, and the enjoyment of the visual arts in the community.

Now in its 19th year, the exhibit attracts nearly 400 entries annually, and visitors from the Bay Area to the Sierras. Contributions from the community, and the cooperation of the City of Tracy have been instrumental in the exhibit's success.

EXPRESSIONS brings the finest work of regional artists to the community every year. It supports a scholarship program for students pursuing a career in the arts, and the annual EXPRESSIONS Children's Tour serves youngsters from kindergarten through high school.

Expressions 2010 and Expressions Selections shows:

The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in collaboration with the Tracy Art League is pleased to announce a new collaboration.  Expressions! Selections will feature honored works entered into the Expressions! exhibition held annually in February at the Tracy Community Center.  William Wilson, Gallery Supervisor at the Center, will curate a selection of works for special recognition in a feature exhibition in the Grand Galleries from March 13 through May 1st, 2010.  The Opening Reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 13th from 6 to 8 PM.  A Gallery Talk with Mr. Wilson and guest artists is scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd from 1 to 3 PM.  All events are free and open to the public.  There is no additional entry fee or additonal application paperwork for this new show. 

Mr. Wilson notes, "The Exhibitions Program and the Tracy Art League have celebrated an ongoing collaboration since the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts opened in 2007.  This year we are seeking to expand opportunities for artists and deepen the impact that the annual Expressions! exhibition has in our community.  Expressions! will be featured in February and we will open Expressions! Selections in March running 7 weeks, giving students and gallery visitors an extended opportunity to enjoy these honored artists in a unique fun and educational environment."
